what stereotypes about white people are you speaking of?
as far as i know white privilege refers only to specific social advantages whites have considering centuries of them dominating politics, economics, deciding who can and can’t vote, etc. not stereotypes.
There is no such thing as white privilege dear, if you honestly believe there is white privilege than you must not think logically.

you really think there is no advantage to being the only race that was allowed to vote for a majority of our country’s history? no advantage to being the only race allowed to own property, businesses, get educations, etc? no advantage to being the race that has made up the vast majority of political leaders?
do you think it’s a coincidence that most people involved in law (lawyers, cops, judges, etc) are white and a majority of people in prison are minorities?
try to explain to me, logically, why you believe this.
Name someone who graduated law school that couldn’t practice law because of race, name me someone who was denied the right to go to the police academy because of race, someone who couldn’t be a judge because of race, someone who graduated with a skill but couldn’t go into that field because of race, well.
Did slavery suck.. hell yeah but nobody alive now had to suffer the consequences of that because it was well over 100 years ago, therefore people need to stop acting as if white people owe them something, simply because they don’t. They were not alive to own slaves.All of that racism is far dead all the racism we have today was created by people of today trying to take advantage of something that took place long ago. It’s time for people to get the fuck over themselves and start being accountable for their own actions, and for people to realize that thinking only white people can be racist is in itself racist.

There was a ugly sick time in this country that should never be forgotten.
But to use the suffering of those poor souls who had to endure those ugly times for political or any other gains is low and disrespectful. And for anyone who says I don’t have a right to speak, the people that had to endure those times, were American just like me.
I’d like to just point out one thing, and then I’ll keep my mouth shut.
My college was literally giving free money to ‘minorities’ for criminal justice, fire fighting, and EMS. Things were horrible for all kinds of people in the past, but no one is stopping anyone from doing anything now. And as a woman, I have never felt oppressed. No one has ever stopped me from doing anything. I’ve had some shitty remarks, but if that’s enough to stop a person, then that’s something to settle with themselves.

This is so surreal. In about a month, I’ll be working in the hospitals, and with the fire departments for my clinicals. It’s so crazy to think that when someone calls 911 on those days, I’ll be one of the people showing up. I’m so nervous and excited and I want to do a good job. I don’t want to get in the way or piss anyone off. After this summer, I can finally get a job that means something. It’s not going to be a job to get me rich, and it’s not something I plan on doing forever, but I’d rather do this than press the buttons as a cashier or sweep a floor all day. I won’t be completely useless anymore.

It’s actually really disturbing that kids falling asleep in school is viewed as them being lazy and not as the school overworking them to the point that they literally can’t stay awake.
i fell asleep in chemistry class once and my teacher got me a pillow and a blanket and made the class work in silence so i could sleep.
Best teacher ever.
lol my math teacher in high school let me keep sleeping even though the lunch bell rang, and when I asked why she didn’t wake me up she goes ‘ohh you were so cuteee and you looked so comfortable so I didn’t want to disturb you’. there are still nice people out there, you just gotta be lucky enough to run into them.
